Libby heads a global team responsible for programs focused on the information professional, such as Quantum2, Dialog’s customer advisory board, outreach to MLIS students and relationship management for professional associations. Previous management roles at Dialog include marketing, customer services, product development and strategic planning.
Libby has held many positions within the Special Libraries Association (SLA), including San Andreas chapter Program Director, Membership Chair and President. She also chaired the Information Technology Division’s Strategic Planning Committee, Virtual Section, and Communications Section. Other recent SLA activities include the SLA Nominating Committee, Funding Model Task Force and the Corporate Partners Council. Most recently in March 2006, Libby was appointed as SLA Chapter Cabinet Chair-Elect.
Earlier in her career, Libby worked in library consortia, helping members implement services such as OCLC, RLIN and electronic mail. She served on the editorial board for Library Information Technology Association journal, and co-authored the book Options for Electronic Mail. She holds a masters degree in library science from Simmons. |
